Document delivery - requesting via VDX

We have been receiving a lot of requests via VDX for items which are already available in the ECU library system (e.g. books, and journal articles which we already have either in print or electronically via our databases).

If you place a VDX request for something that we already have, the request does not get processed, and will remain in VDX until we reply to you and advise that the item is in the Library. This takes time, and delays you obtaining the requested item..

The best way of avoiding this is to check Library One Search and / or the library catalogue prior to placing a VDX request.

VDX is available to staff with university related research needs; graduate, honours and higher degree students; remote and off-campus students; and offshore students. Further information is available in the document delivery user guide at http://ecu.au.libguides.com/docdel or by emailing docdel@ecu.edu.au
