ECU library launches new institutional repository during Research Week

ECU library launched a new institutional repository, Research Online last week in conjunction with the research week schedule of events.

Research Online is a publicly accessible, permanent and searchable digital repository of research output produced by staff, postgraduate students and affiliated authors that will allow ECU research to be viewed on the world stage.

Items in the repository are fully indexed in Google and have generated over 6000 downloads for the 1000 items currently available online

Senior Librarian, Lisa Billingham, believes Research Online is a great tool for the ECU research community.

“The research online repository will make ECU research available to the world and develop increased citation rates for our researchers via improved discoverability and access, with more content to be added over the coming weeks.”
