Library Tours & Workshops

The Library is offering tours and a range of workshops to introduce students to the resources and services available in the campus libraries. New students are encouraged to attend the introductory sessions and all students may be interested in some of the more specialized workshops on Finding Journal Articles, Referencing, etc., that will be advertised later in the semester.
Sign up via the Library’s Workshops & Tours page or the Event List. Even if the class is fully booked, there are often places free on the day.

Registrations are now open for introductory sessions at Joondalup and Mt Lawley libraries:

Tours: Orientation week, Weeks 1 & 2
On a tour you will be given information on Loans and Services (borrowing, holds/recalls, printing, photocopying, Reserve, etc.), as well as shown the location of collections, computer terminals, photocopiers, printers, study spaces in the Library.

Workshops: Orientation Week and Week 1
In the introductory workhops you will be shown how to access the Library’s print and online resources that you’ll need to use for your assignments. These workshops are held in the Library Training room which allows students to have hands on practice using the library’s online databases.
